Manage your mind, calm your nervous system.
Anxiety & stress therapy
in California and New York
You’re tired of feeling on edge and living in your head.
Does it feel like your mind never turns off, constantly replaying conversations, decisions, and “what-ifs”? Maybe you hold yourself to impossibly high standards, overthinking every detail in the hopes of avoiding mistakes. But instead of feeling in control, you’re left feeling paralyzed. Anxiety can feel like a full-time job: your thoughts spiraling all the time, your heart racing, or your stomach in knots before you’ve even started your day. You might notice yourself avoiding tasks or endlessly scrolling on your phone just to escape the weight of it all, only to realize that the distractions are temporary, and the tension is still there.
When anxiety takes over, it doesn’t just impact your thoughts—it seeps into every corner of your life. The all-consuming nature of anxiety and stress can pull you away from the things you care about—relationships, hobbies, and even your own sense of self. Life doesn’t have to feel this heavy, though. There’s a way out of the cycle, and you’re not alone in finding it.

what we’ll work on
Addressing anxiety and stress in therapy
Therapy with me will help you recognize, challenge and reframe negative thought patterns, as well as shift your relationship to anxiety and stress, so that these emotions don’t take over you, and you can re- focus on what truly matters. We’ll work on your distress through a lens of self-compassion and regulation, so that you can cultivate an inner-kindness, learn to self-soothe, and let go of the things that hold you back.
We will develop a plan that includes:
- identifying and dismantling your negative thoughts and core beliefs.
- teaching you about mindfulness, both the role it can have in grounding and how its deep engagement is a game-changer for life.
- developing skills to get distance from your thoughts, so that they have less power
- redefining what you link to self-worth and success
- bringing balance to your hectic life.

We cannot get rid of emotions, even the most difficult ones like anxiety. But we can learn to manage anxiety in a different way so that it doesn’t completely overwhelm you and take over. Anxiety is an evolutionary adaptive emotion. Instead of battling it, to “get rid” of ever feeling it, we can listen to the wisdom of what emotions are trying to tell us, and then use healthy coping to get back on track.

Therapy is the perfect starting point for addressing anxiety and stress. It helps you identify everything attached to anxiety and stress— your internal narratives and core beliefs, how it feels and manifests, and the behaviors it leads to. But therapy alone isn’t enough for reducing anxiety and stress. The real magic in between sessions when you apply skills and practices (that you learn in session!) to daily life. I have all the tools to help you succeed in this.

Life is, unfortunately, full of distress. The difficult experiences, phases, emotions and thoughts are all built into being human. You’re right that therapy can’t change that. But therapy can change how you hold and react to these intense moments and feelings, so that they feel less intense and you can choose to make more meaningful decisions that lead to more fulfillment.
